Sara Martín is Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Cultural Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. Dr Martín specialises in Gender Studies, particularly Masculinities Studies, which she applies to the study of popular fictions in English, with an emphasis on science fiction. Her most recent books are Masculinity and Patriarchal Villainy in British Fiction: From Hitler to Voldemort (2020, Spanish version De Hitler a Voldemort: Retrato del villano, 2023), Representations of Masculinity in Literature and Film: Focus on Men (2020), American Masculinities in Contemporary Documentary Film: Up Close behind the Mask (2023) and Detoxing Masculinity in Anglophone Literature and Culture: In Search of Good Men (2023, co-edited with M. Isabel Santaulària). Sara Martín es profesora titular de Literatura Inglesa y Estudios Culturales en la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. La Dra. Martín se especializa en Estudios de Género, particularmente Estudios de las Masculinidades, que aplica al estudio de ficciones populares en inglés, con énfasis en la ciencia ficción.
